Yeast infections - Yeast infections are basically an overabundance of a specific type of fungal organism. That organism is C. albicans. This organism can cause a variety of fungal diseases in the moist areas of the body and one of the most common ways it manifests is through a yeast infection.
Trichomoniasis - Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite called trichomonas vaginalis. It usually does not cause any symptoms in men but it does in women.
Noninfectious vaginitis - Some forms of vaginitis are caused by allergy and irritation. These types of vaginitis fall under the umbrella category of “noninfectious vaginitis.” This kind of vaginitis can be caused by sprays, soaps, perfumes, douches, and certain types of spermicidal products.
Genitourinary syndrome of menopause - This is also known as vaginal atrophy. Genitourinary syndrome is a thinning of the vaginal lining due to reduced estrogen levels or menopause related surgeries.
